Evie and Brett are dear friends of mine. To celebrate their engagment we wandered down the back of their place to this glorious, old fig tree for some portraits with bugsy – their blue punch-buggy : ) and then later with Evie’s adorable pet lovebirds, Fanny & Elvis (last pic). The birds sit next to Evie everyday as she works from her home office and she loves them dearly with all her heart. Evie knows their different tweets and personalities inside out. Since they were hatchlings, Fanny & Elvis have never left each other’s side – (and very rarely Evie’s either; they sometimes go on holidays with them as well : )…Even when Fanny had to have one of her wings amputated, Elvis was right there with her. Fanny has a bad, bad habit of plucking her own feathers – she’s plucked all the ones she can reach – and has even started on Elvis! So she is a funny looking little creature and is literally missing half her body! But she bounces around with Elvis all the same and they are lucky to have such caring and thoughtful owners…. who are lovebirds also : )
