I grew up on the coast of New South Wales spending my free lunch times at high school in the dark room inspired by the magic of exposing and developing black and white prints by hand. In 2005 I graduated from Queensland College of Art, Griffith University with my Bachelor in Photography and First Class Honours in Social Documentary Photography with the series Birthday Wishes.
I’m based in Brisbane as a commercial and documentary photographer but am always on the road; travelling near and far, freelancing to national and international clients and publications.
Some of my career highlights so far include:
2010 – commissioned by Hyder Consulting, an international advisory and design consultancy to photograph their QLD property and transport projects.
2009 – assisted fellow photographer Eddie Safarik at The Best Job in the World campaign on Hamilton Island for Tourism QLD. The biggest marketing campaign in the world to date.
2009 – 2011 – visited over 30 QLD & NSW primary schools holding one day photography workshops on behalf of the Moran Arts FoundationĀ and their national program.
2009 – Published in London’s Monocle Magazine and China’s Vision Magazine
2008 – completed a documentary commission Tails of the City for the Museum of Sydney on behalf of the Historic Houses Trust.
Along the way my personal documentary work has been recognised in prestigious competitions such as the Moran Photographic Prize, The Leica/ CCP Documentary Award and NOISE/ Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards.
